Nothing changes a community for the better like volunteering. In celebration of Hawaii’s volunteers, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd. (FICOH) is launching a “Give & Get Back” contest on Facebook to highlight all the ways people are giving back to our local community.

Enter between October 9 and October 27, 2017 by submitting a picture with a caption describing how you or another deserving volunteer you know is giving back on the “Give and Get Back” contest form on FICOH’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/firstinshi. FICOH will invite its Facebook followers to vote for their favorite photo starting October 30, 2017 through November 3, 2017. The three submissions with the highest number of votes will receive a $100 Visa gift card and an equal donation in their name to their choice of one of the following charities:

  • Hawaii Foodbank
  • Hawaii Meals on Wheels
  • American Red Cross Hawaii Chapter
  • American Heart Association
  • Easter Seals Hawaii
  • Ronald McDonald’s Charities of Hawaii

FICOH supports the community through charitable donations and by volunteering time at local nonprofits including the Institute for Human Services, American Red Cross, and Hawaii Meals on Wheels. For the past 10 years, FICOH associates have delivered meals through Hawaii Meals on Wheels every Thursday and Friday in the Punchbowl area.
