Wayne has more than 25 years of client services, system support and project management experience. Prior to joining FICOH in 2008 as Manager of the Project Consulting Group, she served as Program Manager at HMSA for six years. She holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute, an important industry-recognized certification for project managers. As Assistant Vice President, she will play a larger role in overall IT operations while continuing to oversee FICOH’s Project Consulting Group.

“Misty’s leadership and project management skills have been instrumental to several system platform and change initiatives at First Insurance,” said Jeff Shonka, President and CEO. “We will continue to rely on her input and expertise as we move forward with strategic initiatives focused on updating our systems, aligning our processes with industry best practices and continually improving our service.”

Weite joined FICOH in 2000 as a Senior Adjuster following 20 years of claims experience in Hawaii’s local insurance industry. In 2013, she was promoted to Manager, Claims. As Assistant Vice President, she will oversee several units in the Claims department, including Litigation, Liability Field, General Liability, and Auto Resources. A passionate highway safety advocate, Weite has collaborated with several local agencies to improve safety laws in Hawaii. Two years ago, she spearheaded FICOH’s child car-seat safety program, which provides free child seat safety checks to the public on a monthly basis.

“Marie has been a valued contributor to our Claims team from day one, at first as a claim expert with years of industry experience, and more recently as a manager and mentor whose responsibilities have expanded significantly in a short amount of time,” said Shonka. “Her technical skills, levelheadedness, and fresh perspective are all major assets she brings to our officer team.”
