First Insurance Appoints New Officer

HONOLULU – First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) has promoted Cathy Migita to Assistant Vice President effective January 1, 2024.

Migita started with FICOH in 2009 as a Personal Lines Underwriter before being promoted to Supervisor in 2013 and Manager in 2018. She currently oversees FICOH’s Personal Lines Underwriting and Customer Service units. She worked at Atlas Insurance Agency prior to FICOH. Born and raised in Honolulu, Migita earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Hawaii.

In welcoming Migita to the officer team, FICOH president and CEO Todd Takayama said, “Over the course of her FICOH career, Cathy has demonstrated drive, critical thinking, and leadership. Her initiative and solution-oriented mindset are necessary skills as we work to build a stronger FICOH for tomorrow.”
