First Insurance Hires New Vice President of Claims

HONOLULU – First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) has hired Yvette Barradas as its new vice president of claims.

Yvette has more than 30 years of claims experience in the property & casualty insurance industry. Prior to joining FICOH, she worked at Amtrust North America in California for seven years, most recently as vice president of claims for the western region. She has also worked at Farmers Insurance and Safeco Insurance Company.

“Yvette’s wealth of experience, strong communication skills and ability to see things through make her a great addition to our executive team. We are excited to welcome her and her family to Hawaii,” said Jeff Shonka, president and CEO of FICOH.

Yvette has a B.A. in International Business, Trade, and Commerce from San Diego State University.
