First Insurance Hires New Vice President of Personal Lines

HONOLULU – First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) has hired Todd Yamanaka as vice president of personal lines, overseeing the personal lines underwriting and customer service teams. Prior to joining FICOH, Yamanaka served as vice president and division manager of personal insurance at Island Insurance.

During his 20-plus years at Island Insurance, Yamanaka managed several areas in addition to personal insurance, including corporate marketing and product development. His prior experience includes marketing leadership positions at Central Pacific Bank and tenures on several non-profit community organization volunteer boards.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Yamanaka earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter designation and is a graduate of Iolani School.
