HONOLULU – As the full extent of property damage due to the devastating wildfires becomes clear, First Insurance Company of Hawaii (FICOH) is encouraging its customers to exercise caution and heed all official orders.

The company encourages policyholders to report claims as soon as they are safe and able to do so.

FICOH’s claims lines are open 8am to 4pm. An after-hours call service is in place to answer calls outside these hours.
Tips for Affected Residents and Businesses
- Contact your insurance company as soon as possible if you’re filing a claim. They’ll assign a claims adjuster to hep you through the process.
- Report your loss only once.
- Homeowners should contact their mortgage holder.
- If you need to relocate, keep your receipts.
- Make temporary repairs if your home or business is a partial loss.
- Save receipts for supplies and materials you purchase so you can submit them to your insurance company for reimbursement.
