HONOLULU – As another example of pivoting in the times of COVID, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd. (FICOH) and its associates donated $50,000 to Aloha United Way (AUW) through virtual fundraising events, e-pledges and a contribution from the First Insurance Foundation.

“We are proud to continue our support of AUW and their partner agencies and the important work they do in our community,” said Mark Yoda, FICOH president and CEO. “Our associates responded generously to the call. We also want to recognize our planning committee. They were creative and worked hard to organize accessible fundraising events in which all our associates could participate, including those in the office and those working from home.”

“For more than 30 years, First Insurance Company of Hawaii and their associates have supported Aloha United Way,” said Jenna Richards, AUW business development manager. “We are thankful to their associates and the First Insurance Foundation for sharing our vision of helping local families and creating positive change in our community.”
