First Insurance Company of Hawaii Continues Its Commitment to the American Heart Association by Donating $73,000

HONOLULU – First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd. (FICOH) has donated $73,000 to the American Heart Association-Hawaii in 2021, continuing its multi-year commitment to supporting cardiovascular research, education and care.

FICOH’s donation includes $25,000 for the annual Heart of Hawaii Heart Ball, $30,000 for the virtual Oahu Heart Walk, $10,000 for the Leaders for Life program and $8,000 in employee matching gifts. The American Heart Association is dedicated to ensuring equitable health in all communities. Through collaboration with numerous organizations, and powered by millions of volunteers, it funds innovative research, advocates for the public’s health and shares lifesaving resources.

“The Heart Association is leading the fight against heart disease and stroke, Hawaii’s number one and number three causes of death,” said Mark Yoda, FICOH president and CEO. “We are proud to support its lifesaving work and the active contributions it makes to the health and wellness of our employees, families, and the local community as a whole.”
